Ayrshire Women’s Cycle Festival

Home » East Ayrshire » Our Events & Activities » Ayrshire Women’s Cycle Festival

The Ayrshire Women’s Cycle Festival is an annual festival supporting and inspiring women in Ayrshire and all over the world to cycle more regardless of their current cycling ability or experience. The festival has been running for 6 years and is run in partnership with The Kilmarnock Active Travel Hub, Ayr Active Travel Hub and The Trinity Active Travel Hub in Irvine. Due to Covid restrictions our 2020 and 2021 festivals were held online with inspirational speakers, films, bike maintenance videos and local cycling information. These were a great success and allowed us to connect with women in Scotland and across the world. While we have now switched back to an in-person programme the resources from our previous online festivals are still available here.

The Ayrshire Women’s Cycle Festival 2023 programme is now live. Click here to download the programme.

The 2023 programme boasts a wide variety of cycling activities. The adventurous can try out tricks on a BMX or get muddy while mountain biking. The social riders can enjoy numerous ladies’ rides hosted across the Ayrshires.

There’s also an opportunity to try out e-bikes or all ability bikes such as trikes, side-by-side bikes or wheelchair bikes. Even those new to cycling can get a feeling of what cycling is all about at a learn to ride taster session.
