Ayr Burners Cycling Club

Formed in late 2014, ‘The Burners’ were formed to provide a home for the recreational road cyclists of Ayrshire, along with those who are keen to explore and discover the lesser-known tracks, trails, and ‘rough stuff’ that Ayrshire has to offer. They have a passion for Cyclocross, and their annual Doonbank Trofee Race at Rozelle Park in Ayr attracts hundreds of cyclists from around Scotland and beyond. Their Saturday bunch ride sticks to their tried and tested format of 3 hours duration, on quiet roads, with a cafe stop to finish. Their favourite away days include Arran, the 5 ferries, and Summer weekend touring, with destinations including the South West 300 loop and the Caledonian Way. The Burners are fully inclusive regardless of age or gender.

Cycle Ayrshire

Cycle Ayrshire offer a wide range of rides throughout Ayrshire and beyond. They have a fantastic bunch of ride leaders who design routes ranging from 15 to 60 miles using quiet back roads and cycle paths. They also know where to find the best cafes where they can have a mid-ride or end-ride refreshment and chat. Their rides and activities normally run throughout the year unless the weather is extremely bad.
